Partners:

Dept. of Mechanical & Industrial Engineering (U. of Thessaly)
Industry of Phosphoric Fertilizers, Thessaloniki, Greece (ΒΦΛ Α.Ε.)

Objective:

The earthquake response of important industrial structures is examined (tanks, pressure vessels, pipes and pipe racks, heaters, chimneys and fare towers, control rooms). The results are evaluated and compared with the design provisions of API, ASME codes, in order to develop basic guidelines for the seismic design of those structures, compatible with the Greek Seismic Code.
